How to Save Your Honeymoon Before it Happens

There’s probably going to be a lot of thoughts racing through your head when the wedding bells have finally stopped their chiming and you’re left with nothing more than the realization of what’s happened, the company of your new life partner, and the future of an entirely new life before you; you’ll also likely be thinking about just how many free amenities you’ll be able to get on the honeymoon! These are natural things to be concerned with, but in order to make the honeymoon process go as smoothly as possible, you’re going to have to want to take a couple of precautions that just might save you and your spouse a one-way ticket to honeymoon hell

Destination Nowhere

It’s natural to feel like the period after the wedding has transpired is a time to fully embrace that wonderlust and go three oceans away, but in truth, a lot of couples report that a big part of their honeymoon stress actually stemmed from the fact that they didn’t take slightly longer to wait and bide their time before heading off into the jungle for their post-vow adventure. If you’re itching for the magical honeymoon, don’t let that anticipation completely consume your ability to be patient. You might actually find that it’s far more prudent to actually stay in and have yourself a vacation in the house, taking some quality time off instead of instantly taking off. Essentially, you’re giving yourself time to cool and decompress from the intense heat and passion of the ceremony before heating right back up again with an exotic trip; many couples report that doing this saved them a titanic amount of stress in the long run!

K.I.S.S (Keep it Simple Stupid)

It can be highly tempting to get your honeymoon destination chosen based on what place it going to throw the most stuff at you at one time; after all, why shouldn’t they? You’re married, you’re awesome, and you deserve it. This is true, but be wary! You don’t want to put all your eggs in a basket that might get dropped at the last minute; be just a tad bit wary of the all-inclusive deals!
